The admissions for MSc course is merit-based for all of the specilisations. Students who are graduate with minimum 50% to 60% aggregate are eligible to apply for MSc course at GIET Gunupur University. However, for MSc Biotechnology, the candidates need to secure 45% aggregate.

Interested students need to qualify BSc in Science from a recognised college or university. Minimum marks that candidates need to secure in graduation in order to be eligible for an MSc course is usually 50% to 60% aggregate. No, GIET university does not conduct any entrance exam for MSc course. The student will get admission in MSc course on basis of merit based. However, the candiate need to be graduate with 50% aggregate. Furthermore, for MSc in biotechnology, the student need to pass in BSc Biotechnology / BSc with Biochemistry / Microbiology / Botany / Zoology /Physics /Chemistry/ Environmental Sciences/ Agriculture / BVSc /BTech Biotechnology/BPharma /BAMS/BHMS/BPT and any other related discipline with not less than 45 % aggregate.
