As a senior, I'd rate the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Guwahati as the undisputed best choice, simply because it carries the "NCHMCT" government tag which holds significantly more weight in the industry than any private degree from the region. Located in Hengrabari, it is the only college where major brands like Taj, Oberoi, and Marriott reliably come for campus placements because they trust the standardized central government curriculum. Candidates applying for PhD programme at NIPER Guwahati should have fellowship from CSIR-UGC (JRF), DBT (JRF), ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE, or equivalent programmes. GPAT/GATE and similar entrance exams are not considered valid fellowship schemes for PhD admission at NIPER Guwahati.

PhD applicants at NIPER Guwahati should have Master's degree in any branch of Pharmaceutical sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or any related fields. Candidates should have valid fellowship from CSIR-UGC (JRF), DBT (JRF), ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE, or equivalent programmes. They have to mail their application and CV to academic counsel. Selected candidates will be called for personal interview.
