Yes, Gauhati University provides a four-year BTech programme across four specialisations through Gauhati University Institute of Science and Technology. Divided into eight semesters of six months’ duration, admission to all the BTech courses is subject to a valid score in the Assam CEE entrance exam or JEE Main. Furthermore, students also have an option to secure lateral entry admission directly to the second year or third semester of the BTech course. Admission to BTech Lateral Entry courses is subject to a valid score in JLEE Assam exam. Out of the total seats that are available for BTech at Guwahati University, 20% seats are reserved for JEE Main qualifiers provided that they have a valid PRC of Assam. Remaining seats are available for the CEE qualifiers.

Admission to the MBA programme at Guwahati University is solely determined by a student's merit, both as an undergraduate and as a result of their performance on the national and university entrance exams. The university administers its own admissions exam. However, individuals who have passed national entrance exams, such as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT, and have a score of at least 75 percentile, are excluded from taking the exam. For final selection, candidates who pass any of the aforementioned exams must proceed via GD and PI rounds.

Also, students need to fulfill the university's minimal eligibility requirements, which include passing a pertinent undergraduate degree with an aggregate of at least 50%. 

Guwahati University offers BA across various specialisations, including Geography, Political Science, English Economics, Psychology and Mass Communication. candidates must have passed their Class 12 with 50% aggregate depending on the course they wish to seek admission to. The fee of Cotton University for BCA is INR 1.33 Lacs whereas the fees of NIELIT Guwahati is INR 1.20 Lacs . Cotton University is accepted admission on the baisis of CUET, AHSEC, CBSE12th, whereas NIELIT Guwahati is accepted admission on the basis of class 12th and in some cases they offer NIELIT entrance exam, candidate can choose any one of them according to their capabilities.
