Hindu College admissions are held on the basis of students' performance in the CUET entrance exam. Earlier, students could get direct admissions via the HSC/10+2 merit-based cutoff system. Now, students must clear their 12th standard exams and appear for the prescribed CUET/CUET PG test for admissions into Hindu College UG and PG courses, respectively.

The eligibility criteria to apply for BA (Hons) Economics at Hindu College, University of Delhi are:
Educational Qualification: You must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board (CBSE, ICSE or equivalent) and must have studied Mathematics as a subject.
Minimum Marks: Must have a minimum of 45% marks in Class 12. Eligibility will be based on the best four subjects. Including mathematics. The specific percentage requirements may vary depending on the competition and the cutoff list.

Admission to all the courses is entrance-based. While Hindu College accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses, such as BA, BSc and BCom, admission to all the PG programmes will be subject to the CUET- PG exam starting admission 2023. The institute along with DU started accepting CUET UG starting 2022 and the CUET PG from 2023 session onward. Before this, admission to UG was based on merit in Class 12 and PG admission was mostly subject to DUET exam previously conducted by DU. At the UG level, Hindu College offers BA (Hons) courses in various specialisations. One of the specialisations in which BA is offered is Political Science. In the stream of Commerce, Hindu College, DU provides a three-year BCom (Hons) course to the students at the undergraduate level. Hindu College, DU BCom (Hons) admission is currently open via the CUET exam. Hindu College also offers a full-time two-year MCom course to the students across the Accounting and Commerce stream. The eligibility criteria to apply for the MCom course is Graduation with a minimum of 50 % aggregate and the accepted entrance exam is CUET-PG.
