Q:   How can I get admission in Hindu College, Delhi?
A: 

Hindu College admission for UG courses (as per DU) will be through Common Seat Allocation System of the University of Delhi. But, at first, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:

Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.

Step 2: Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard. Here student must select their preferred course and Hindu College as the option. 

Step 3: The University will release the dates for DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists for all categories. 

  • The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.
  • If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.
  • Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.
  • Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & college
  • If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.

Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification. 

Step 5: Once Hindu college accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat. 

On the basis of the availability of seats due to rejections, cancellations, and withdrawals, DU colleges may announce multiple allocation rounds. The University of Delhi will display the vacant seats on its admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) before every allocation round. 

Q:   Can I get direct admission to Hindu College for BA?
A: 

Admission to all the courses offered by Hindu College is entrance-based including BA. While Hindu College accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses, such as BA, BSc and BCom, admission to all the PG programmes will be subject to the CUET- PG exam  The institute along with DU started accepting CUET UG starting 2022 and the CUET PG from 2023 session onward. Before this, admission to UG was based on merit in Class 12 and PG admission was mostly subject to DUET exam previously conducted by DU. Hence, those who are seeking direct admission to Hindu College for BA can reach out to the admission office for any information in this regard.

Q:   Is BSc and BSc (Hons) admission at DU (Hindu College) entrance based?
A: 

Hindu College admission to all the programmes is entrance-based. While the college accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its UG courses, such as BA, BSc and BCom, admission to all the postgraduate programmes is based on the scores obtained by students in the CUET- PG exam (starting admission 2023). The institute along with DU started accepting CUET UG from 2022 onward and the CUET PG from the 2023 session onward. Before this, admission to UG was subject to merit scores obtained by the students in Class 12 and PG admission was mostly subject to DUET exam previously conducted by DU. However, the university still accepts ECA quota admissions.

Q:   How can I get admission in Hindu College?

The modes of Hindu College, Delhi course admissions are online and offline. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. Candidates applying through CUET must first register for the CUET exam. Then appear for the CUET exam. Then register on the DU CSAS portal. Submit the course and college preference. Then, in the end, pay the admission fee.

The CUET UG exam is scheduled to take place between held from May 21 to Jun 8, 2023, and the results were announced in Jun, 2023.
