Yes, candidates can map subjects like Political Science, Sociology, Geography, etc., with CUET History. To know which subjects to map with History for your target UG course, candidates must check the CUET subject requirements for participating colleges based on the programme they want to get admission into.

The Merit Index calculation for the provided data is as follows:

Merit Index = % + Scaling + Weightage

Here is how the Merit Index is computed for some candidates:

  1. Brijesh Pandey

    • % = 61.40
    • Scaling = 307.00
    • Weightage = 0.00
    • Merit Index = 61.40 + 307.00 + 0.00 = 307.00
  2. Based on the merit list, the cutoff for M.A. History  (EWS Candidates) is 289.00. Students with a merit index of 289.00 or higher have been admitted, with the last selected candidate having a merit index of 289.00.

History is one of the subjects in Bihar BET 2025 such as ancient, medieval, modern, and world history.

Its syllabus on ancient history is course-wise like Harappan civilization, Vedic age, Mauryan and Gupta empires, and early South Indian kingdoms.

It has extensive coverage of medieval history like the Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire, Bhakti and Sufi movements, and regional kingdoms.

Modern history areas include British rule in India, freedom movements, the social reformers, Gandhiji, Nehruji, and Subhas Chandra Bose, and in world history the Renaissance, Industrial Revolution, world wars, and decolonization.
