Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry has certain qualifying requirements that applicants must meet in addition to passing the national level entrance exams in order to be admitted to various programs:
1. Domicile Requirements: Candidates who are state residents of Himachal Pradesh are accorded certain privileges and preferences. This is program-specific.
2. Age Limit: For some programs, candidates cannot be older than the specified age limit. For instance, UG takes 25, MA takes 28, and PhD takes 30 years. Regarding reserved categories, there is a relaxation.
3. Qualifying Degrees: Depending on the undergraduate or grad

The following applicants are qualified to apply for admission to the Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF) MBA program, per the admission eligibility criteria:
1. Candidates with a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or institute in horticulture, forestry, agricultural sciences, home science, veterinary sciences, or other related fields.
2. Individuals with a bachelor's degree in any other field, such as engineering, science, commerce, or the arts, and a minimum of 50% overall (45% for SC/ST).
3. Applicants to the MBA programme may also be those who have passed state-level examinations with valid scores

Eeligibility criteria for admission to BSc (Hons) Agriculture and BSc (Hons) Horticulture:
A candidates must have passed in two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects namely:
i) Physical Sciences
ii) Biological or Natural Sciences
If you are above 17 years age you can go for the above mentioned courses.
