In India, travel and tourism sectors are growing at a rapid pace. These sectors are directly related to the hospitality sector. In short, this sector has got huge potential in India. Skilled hotel and hospitality managers are highly valued by employers. They have ample job opportunities available in front of them. Some of the prime recruiters are -

In the above mentioned places, hotel and hospitality managers may don the following roles -
1. Hotel manager
2. Customer service professional

5. Accounts managerApart from that, entrepreneurship is also an excellent opportunity available in front of hotel and hospitality managers. They may start their own little venture and branch out in the future!
On an average, starting salary could be anywhere between 10-25K INR per month. In case of a Government job, the salary will be as per the pay scale and grade. Thanks :)

You can do either of them as both of them have excellent opportunities. But, there would be a difference in some or the other factors. Master's if you pursue even from the top colleges of the country, your compensation will not be as high as someone who has done his or her MBA from any top college of the country. This is not a gospel truth but this is most likely to happen in most of the cases. Now, with regards to work experience in MBA, believe me having and not having work experience have their own advantages and disadvantages.
There is no such hard and fast rule that work-ex guys will get higher salary than freshers. It completely depends on the company as many companies are there who only want freshers. So, it should be your choice as to what you want to do

Maharashtra is an upcoming field in the Indian scenario. Someone with a MBBS, BDS, BPT or AYUSH background considering a field switch from clinical side and work in administrative setup should definitely consider this option. After completion one can work in-
Hospital HR: With your medical background, you'd be specialised in human resource management for primarily medical staff. With good exposure and work, the ladder is quite encouraging. Hospital marketing and sales: You'd be involved in marketing, sales and promotions of the hospital services. You'd be closely working with doctors and other healthcare workers to design and implement marketing strategies. Hospital Operations: You would be involved in managing operations and also day to day running of the hospital. This is a very exhaustive role and it starts with managing a single area or floor of the hospital to managing hospital chains. You are supposed to see that all work goes as planned. Medical administration: This is something where only doctors get in. You would be entrusted with developing medical Shops and policies and their implementations. Medicolegal, Ethical and Legal compliance is managed by persons in this role. Quality: You would be entrusted with maintaining of clinical and non-clinical quality in the hospital. It means compliance with NABH and JCI norms, infection control practices, clinical quality management etc. A training certificate from NABH or JCI would be added benefit. Projects: You would be entrusted with creating Hospitals or areas of the hospital and get them running. This involves the entire design to implementation of hospitals. One can also get other jobs, e. g. In Hospital consultancies, IT industry (Technical consultant), Homecare (Product specialist or service specialist), Pharmaceuticals, Insurance etc. The fields are growing day by day and almost every industry basically they serve similar roles as served in hospital albeit in a different industry.
