For withdrawal of fee, the candidate should submit a request in the institution concerned well before cut-off date of admissions / or as per key dates of the HSTES counselling process. After withdrawal, the seat shall be cancelled and shall be allotted to next eligible candidate in queue.

In cases where the candidates wants to upgrade the allotted seats in the HSTES counselling process they can participate in the subsequent counselling rounds. For that the candidate will login on website and click on the undertaking that states “I understand and accept that, by participating in this counselling, my earlier admission/allotment, if any, will be cancelled automatically, in case I get new allotment of seat by participating in next counselling”.

After the declaration of HSTES counselling seat allotment result, candidate will have to login to the counselling website by entering their roll number and password and click on Provisional Seat Allotment result. If candidate has been allotted a seat then a page showing provisional seat allotment letter appears which shows Institute name, branch allotted to a candidate, Allotment Status and reporting duration.

After filling the choices in HSTES counselling, candidates have to lock their choices. Locking choices means candidates have finally filled the choices. Candidates can unlock their choices and can edit, sort the choices in specified time period which is available on key date’s link (choice locking starts, choice locking ends) on the website. Candidate should lock their filled choice for seat allotment result.

Candidates can fill as many choices as they want. To increase the probability of getting a seat, candidates are advised to fill the maximum eligible choices in HSTES counselling.

After the candidates register for HSTES counselling successfully with all the details asked, candidate can also see their eligible choices and can take the print out of them. Number of seats available in an institution will be displayed as per the eligibility/category. The non-availability of a seat in an institute for which a candidate is not eligible will not be displayed to them.

Only those candidates who name appear in the HSTES counselling merit list can participate in the choice filling process. The candidates are required to participate in online counselling on the official website after display of merit list for the eligible candidates as per key dates.

The HSTES counselling BArch merit list is prepared on the basis of aggregate marks of 10+2 and NATA score (percentile) or score (percentile) of any other aptitude test recognized by the COA in the ratio 50:50. The following under mentioned criteria will be followed to break-up the tie:

  1. Candidate getting higher marks in Mathematics shall rank higher in order of merit.
  2. If tie still persists, candidate getting higher marks in English shall rank higher in order of merit.

For admission to all courses, except for BE/BTech, HSTES will prepare a merit list based on the qualifying exam marks of the candidates. For BE/BTech, admission will be based on JEE Main ranks prepared by NTA. The proper inter-se-merit and ranks shall be displayed on the official website - hstes.org.in, for the candidates to check.
