Ph.D in Human rights is ideal for the students who want to engage with historical rights, legal, political and philosophical level and loves to explore the field of multitude of angles. It is basically a programme of 4 years of full-time studies and it is also possible to study part-time but the programme must be completed in 8 years. For Ph.D, the minimum criteria for a candidate will be Master's degree in human rights. Universities like Lund University is also a good choice.

Hey there,
Talking of the scope and the reasons why I believe both the two fields of law have a scope in their own fields.
Both, the environmental law and humanitarian law have been a cause of action, and we get to see a number of contemporary issues regarding them for eg. Rohingya crisis these days is one such instance falling within humanitarian law. Also, the smog caused by factories nearby Delhi, falls within Environmental laws.
