Finance is one of the most popular specialisations for Ph.D. after MBA and students can choose from various subjects like Financial Management, Financial Analysis, Financial Modelling, etc. You can pursue Ph.D. after doing any Masters course. But one should keep in mind that the Masters and Ph.D. should be done in the same subject or hons. It is feasible to do Ph.D. if you wish to choose your profession as lecturer only. But at the end its your wish. If you want to pursue Ph.D. you can clear JRF exam and get admission in any universities without giving entrance exam and at the same time government will look after your fees or else you can take admission in any college and clear the entrance exam for your PhD
If you wish to do Ph.D. abroad it is free of cost. You have to clear GRE and ILETS for America. For all the other countries you have to just clear ILETS.

Candidate for being eligible for admission to the three-year programme leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (standard. XII examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects. English Paper of 100 marks
Anyone of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any classical Language or Information Technology/ Any four subjects carrying 100 marks each
or
English
Anyone vocational subject carrying 200 marks
Any three subjects carrying 100 marks each. Or
Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (standard. XII examination with the Minimum Competency-based vocational courses (MCVC) conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education

Must have passed an examination of another University or Body recognised as equivalent thereto. Or
Must have passed any three year Government recognised Diploma Programmes. The students who pass the University Entrance Test (UET) conducted by the Centre for Distance Education (CDE) will be eligible to join the programme through Distance mode only. UET passing will be valid for a period of two years only. Distance Education Council (DEC) norms will be followed for admission into distance education programmes.
