Pondicherry University offers a five-year Integrated MA programme across four specialisations, namely History, Political Science, Sociology and Social & Economic Administration and Law (SEAL). Jamia Millia Islamia offers a two-year MA programme to the stduents across more than 30 specialisations. It is a two-year programme spread over four semesters, admission to which is based on a candidate's performance in JMI Entrance Exam. The final merit list for admission to MA at JMI is prepared on the basis of the candidate's performance in the entrance test, seat reservation and relaxation criteria of JMI. 

 The top universities in India have set upper or lower age limits for admission to their courses. However, Jamia Millia Islamia has not imposed any such age restrictions. There is no upper age limit to appear in the JMI exam. However, candidates securing the same rank and marks in JMI exam will be given preference, if they are higher in age than the others. Candidates seeking admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA must have passed Class 12 or SSC with a minimum aggregate ranging from 45-55%. The passing percentage is different for different specialisations offered in the BA programme. With an annual intake of over 900 students for BA and BA (Hons) programmes (including all the specialisations), admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA and BA (Hons) is subject to either CUET (conducted by NTA) or JMI entrance exam.

The fee structure of the BA in Film, TV, and New Media Production course at the Atharva Institute of Film and Television is around INR 2.25 lakh.  The duration of the course is for three years. Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for admissions.
