Admission to most of the top Arts colleges in Pune is done based on merit. Since the admission process is based on Class 12 scores, the cut-off marks for these colleges are quite high. You should check the cut-off scores for the previous years to get an idea about it. 

There are many other options that you can pursue. You can prepare for entrance exams like CUET, as many students are admitted to Arts colleges based on scores in entrance exams. You can also choose to pursue your education in the Arts through distance colleges and online platforms.

There are many specializations in Arts courses that students can choose to pursue. Some of these specializations, like history, geography, political science, journalism, mass media and communication, literature, and psychology, are specializations of the Arts and Humanities stream. 

Students can also choose to pursue an education in fine arts. Some specializations of fine arts that are commonly pursued by students are painting, sculpture, photography, theater, and filmmaking courses.

There are at least 3 colleges that offer Arts degrees in Pune. Students can choose to study in private or public/government universities, as 2 out of these are private institutes and 1 is a public/government university. 

Students can choose to study in private colleges like Symbiosis College of Arts or Dr. DY Patil ACS College. If they wish to go for a government institute, they can choose St. Mira's College for Girls.

Both VMOU and Maharaja Ganga Singh University are good options to pursue MA. However, in terms of affordability,  Maharaja Ganga Singh University is more affordable since the tuition fees to pursue MA at VMOU range from INR 11,100 to INR 16,800, and the tuition fee to pursue MA at Maharaja Ganga Singh University is INR 2,100.
