BIIB Pune selects candidates based on entrance exams such as UGC NET, UGC CSIR NET, GATE, etc. The institute also conducts an entrance test (SBUP-PET) for admission to the PhD programme. The qualifying marks for the entrance test is 50%. Selected candidates are further called for an interview/viva voce round for final selection.

Kanhaiyalal Maniklal Munshi Institute of Hindi Studies and Linguistics has been one of the biggest educational institutions in Agra since 1953 and is affiliated with Dr B.R. Ambedkar University. There is a course for students, offering them Post Graduate Diplomas in Linguistics, Mass Communication, and Journalism. Yes in general a master's degree is one of the stepping stones toward a doctorate. However before taking a decision on that, reflect on why you want to pursue a doctorate.
