To get admission in PhD, students must meet the eligibility and selection requirement. The eligibility is to have a Master's Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Management recognised as equivalent to MBA by AICTE with 55% marks. The final selection is based on academic scores and entrance exams. The college may accept UGC NET/ JRF/ CSIR, etc. for admission.

Aspirants are shortlisted for admission in PhD course at Department of Management Studies, NALSAR University based on their written test score, research proposal and performance in personal interview round. Aspirants can also get admission based on their NCC/ NET/ JRF scores.

The curriculum is divided in six/eight semesters as per the course. The syllabus includes multiple core and additional subjects. Core courses can be major or minor. The selection is based on Class 12 marks. No entrance exam is required for applying. An application form has to be submitted by the students on the official college website. Selection and seat allotment is done by college only on the basis of merit. A merit list is released and those who are selected have to get their documents verified. Fee payment is the last step of admission process.

The minimum percentage to get admissions in the Honours course is 50% (overall) or 45% in related subjects of Class 12. SC students need minimum 40% marks. Moreover, for the General BA course, there is no minimum percentage required. Students just have to pass all subjects in the qualifying exam to apply.

The registrations for the course usually starts after Class 12 or HSC results are announced. Admissions are merit based. Students can apply and submit their applications through the official website. The college releases merit list of selected students for admissions.

The tuition fee is different for both courses. For Honours course, tuition fee is INR 900. For General course, it is INR 600. The total fees include other components also. Hence, total fee is higher.
