The cutoff for I Business Institute PGDM is 50 percentile. However, the institute conducts day-long personality profiling exercise including group discussion and personal interview to level the various factors of the selection standard. The cutoff for admission is determined based on perfomance in all the tests, academic achievements and work experience.

There are a total of 240 seats in PGDM at I Business Institute as per AICTE norms. Candidates are offered seat in PGDM based on entrance exam scores, screening round followed by panel interview and dean's interview. Once selected, candidates must pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

Candidates must pass a three-year bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA along with 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in both Class 10 and Class 12 to apply for the PGDM programme. Aspirants appearing in the final exam of the UG degree can also apply.

For IBI admissions, all applicants should first pre-qualify through I Business Institute (IBI) prescribed tests. As such all applicants taking the CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ XAT examination, achieving high percentile score are considered for selection for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program. This attainment is considered as pre-qualification for stage - II selection procedure of I Business Institute. All candidates clearing the pre- qualifying test are also required to go through IBI’s Admission Selection Process. The final selection of the student is declared on the basis of the Composite Marking Scheme
