I think you should prepare for all the exams. In government jobs exams or competitive exams, the syllabus is almost same. So, you can prepare at the same time for more than one exam.
If you want to work in Indian banks, then you can prepare for IBPS PO, SBI PO or RBI exams. You are from technical field, so you can also prepare for IBPS PO exam.
You can check the below mentioned link for the details of IBPS PO job:

I hope it helps.

Qualifying IBPS is a far better option than pursuing PGDBF. Since recruitment via IBPS exam is taken by almost all banks specifically government sector, but if I talk about job via the course, there are limitations from one bank to another and specifically in government sector as they don't give it much value.

First of all, there is no necessity to solve all the questions.
You have to solve questions according to the cut-off marks so that you can clear the sectional cut-off & overall cut-off marks both.
Check cut-off marks here - https://scoop.eduncle.com/ibps-clerk-results-cut-off-marks-for-prelims-mains-exam
To crack IBPS Clerk exam,
Solve English section firstly. It will take hardly 10 to 15 minutes time.
You can solve Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude in 20-25 minutes time.
Then solve reasoning. We all know that reasoning is the easiest section among all. So you should try to solve questions with full accuracy.
Then go for Quantitative A
