As per IBSAT exam pattern, the marking scheme for IBSAT is as follows:

  1. One mark for each correct answer
  2. No marks for wrong answers

Based on score obtained by candidates in IBSAT exam, they are shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. 

Listed below is the IBSAT cutoff:

  1. CAT & XAT: 60 percentile and above 
  2. GMAT: 500+
  3. NMAT by GMACTM: 150+

Is IBSAT an online exam?

Yes, IBSAT exam is conducted in online mode. The exam is held in remote proctored mode. Applicants can book the exam slot after completing the IBSAT application process online. To appear for the online mode of examination, candidates must have a desktop or laptop and download the required software to appear for the exam.

IBSAT 2025 exam will be held on December 27 and December 28. Candidates can book the exam slot tentatively from October 2025.

IBSAT 2025 slot booking window is open. Only registered candidates can book exam slot following below steps:

  1. Visit official website of IBS and login
  2. Click on tab 'Schedule IBSAT'
  3. Click on tab 'Book a seat'
  4. Enter the following details:
    • Test name
    • City
    • Date
    • Test centre name
    • Test centre address
  5. Select suitable exam timing
  6. Candidates will be given 1 minute to confirm
  7. Screen will now display candidate and examination details.
  8. Download IBSAT admit card.

IBS Aptitude Test also known as IBSAT is conducted for admission to MBA/ PGDM programs of IBS nine campuses. Candidates having valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT/SNAP/NMAT/GMAT/MAH CET or any other state-level entrance examination are exempted from taking the IBSAT exam. ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad releases the IBSAT cutoff along with the declaration of results. The minimum required IBSAT cutoff scores for getting a GD/PI call scheduled at IBS Hyderabad is given below:
1. CAT & XAT 60 percentile and above
2. GMAT 500 +
3. NMAT by GMACTM 150+
The minimum cutoff score for INR 2 Lacs scholarship eligibility criteria is
1. CAT Top 75 candidates with a minimum score of 90 percentile and above
2. XAT Top 25 candidates with a minimum score of 80 percentile and above

Candidates desiring to take admission to the MBA/PGDM programme of IBS campuses must fill the IBSAT application form compulsorily. Candidates having a valid scores in CAT/XAT/CMAT or any other state-level examination will be exempted from taking the IBSAT exam. While filling the IBSAT application form candidates must enter their personal details and academic details. The IBSAT entrance test is conducted exclusively for admission to the ICFAI Business School. The NMAT exam is held for admission to NMIMS Mumbai and its campuses. As per the rules of the IBS from 2020 onward, the NMAT scores are also accepted for admission to the IBS. Therefore, you can give either of the tests to apply for admission to IBS. The IBSAT score is accepted for admission to the IBSAT and its nine campuses. On the other hand, NMAT scores are accepted in more than 50 management schools. No, you do not need to apply separately for the IBSAT exam if you have already scored well in the CAT or NMAT exams. As per the latest guidelines of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, which conducts the IBSAT you are eligible for admission into IB colleges with other management test scores apart from the IBSAT. From 2020 onwards, the following exam scores are accepted for admission to the MBA courses:
1. CAT
2. GMAT
3. NMAT
4. XAT
You can take admission to the MBA programme offered by IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur with any of the above test scores. In addition, you can take admission in the PGPM, which is offered by IBS Ahmedabad, Gur
