To apply for the University of Lincoln, you must meet the English language requirements, and applicants must meet the IELTS score to be accepted. However, below are the other English Proficiency test that the University accepts.  The University asks for an  IELTS, with a minimum score of 6.0 and 5.5 in each subtest. The TOEFL iBT requires a total score of 79, with specific minimum scores ( Writing 20, Speaking 20, Reading 18, Listening 17). For the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, an overall score of 58 is required, with no communication skills falling below this level.

Yes, international students who want to take admission at York University Canada need to submit IELTS score or any other relevant English language proficiency score while applying to York University courses. For most of the undergraduate programs, the minimum IELTS score required is 6.5 – 7.0. Apart from IELTS, undergraduate students can submit scores of TOEFL / PTE / Duolingo / CAEL / Cambridge English Language Assessment.

If you are applying from outside the UK,  or if English is not your first language, you must demonstrate proficiency in English through one of the following recognised English Language qualifications:

  • Academic IELTS with at least 7.0 overall, and a minimum of 7.0 in each element of the test, or
  • Pearson PTE Academic with at least 70 overall, and a minimum of 70 in each element of the test

The minimum IELTS requirement for general undergraduate admission to the Memorial University of Newfoundland is an IELTS band score of 6.5 overall, with 6.0 in the reading and writing bands. Students are required to possess a decent English language proficiency level in order to get enrolled in the programme of their choice. This is so because every course is taught in English in the college and it is expected that students hold a high level of English language proficiency. As such, all students at Centennial College must present an acceptable level of English language proficiency to be admitted to their programme of choice. In order to meet the language proficiency requirement, applicants can demonstrate English proficiency through recognised English language proficiency tests like IELTS, TOEFL, etc.

Most academic departments will ask for an IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) for undergraduate degrees and IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) for postgraduate degrees but there are exceptions and you should always check the individual entry requirements on our course pages, or check the conditions included in your offer letter.
