To be eligible for the admission to Certificate Courses at Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology college, the candidate must and should meet the following eligibility criteria.
- Educational qualification - The candidate should passed class 10th with 45 percent aggregate marks from any state board or any recognised board.
- Age requirement - The candidate who is applying for certificate course in this college should be atleast 16 years old.
- Counselling process - Interested candidate should participate counselling conducted by the college for admissions.

No, you can not get direct admission to BHMCT course at Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Admission to the BHMCT course in this college is on the basis of entrance exams. The national-level entrance exam conducted for BHMCT admissions is NCHMCT JEE (National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam). The NCHMCT JEE or NCHM JEE is mainly conducted for admission to the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology colleges in india. Finally, you can't get direct admission.

According to information available in the official website of the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology college, for certificate courses in this college, there is no entrance exam for admission. If you meet the eligibility criteria, then you will easily get the admission in to this college. If you passed your 10th class with 45 percent aggregate marks and english as one of the subject. Then you are eligible for admission in this college. So, there is no cut off for this course in this college.

Actually, there are four courses available in this Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. They are Diploma (after 10th) with specializations, BHMCT (bachelor of hotel management and catering technology), MHMCT (master of hotel management and catering technology) and certificate courses with specializations. In this courses, best course among these courses this college is BHMCT. Based on college students feedback, placements and facilities available, this BHMCT is best course. But remaining courses are very good in this college to study.

This Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology accepts three entrance exam scores for admission to BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology) couse. They are
- National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE)
- Maharashtra Hotel Management Common Entrance Test (MAH HM CET)
- Maharashtra Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Common Entrance Test (MAH BHMCT CET)
In this three entrance exams, first one is conducted by central goverment and remaining two are conducted maharastra state government.
