Admission in Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management Chandigarh can be difficult and competitive.
- The eligibility criteria for the B.Sc course, is to have passed the 10+2 with English as a compulsory subject from a recognised board.
The entrance exam for the B.Sc course is the NCHM Joint Entrance Examination (NCHMJEE) which is conducted online and tests individuals on numerical ability, reasoning, English language, G.K and aptitude for service sector

Going as per the closing ranks for IHM Chandigarh cutoff 2023 along with 2022 and 2021 of NCHMCT and NCHM MSc Round 1 Seat Allotment for BSc and MSc, respectively, the cutoff rank required would range as follows:
- For B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, it should range between 1507 and 2418
- For M.Sc. in Hospitality Administration, it should range between 174 and 185.

NCHM MSc JEE 2023 Round 1 closing rank for IHM Chennai MSc course for the Open category students stood at 174, which is lower and competetive as compared to 2022 cutoff, which stood at 185. NCHMM MSc JEE 2023 Counselling is ongoing. IHM Chennai offers admission to MSc course through NCHM MSc JEE scores followed by NCHMCT JEE Counselling. In order to be eligible for admissions to IHM Chennai MSc admissions, candidates must appear and meet the NCHM MSc cutoff.
