IIFT selection criteria and admission process 2024 for MBA International Business included online Extempore and Personal Interview (PI). The first stage of IIFT admission process included shortlisting of candidates on the basis of CAT 2023 score. A 90% attendance to all classes programme wise is required in the MBA IB (full time) course. The waiver of attendance is only provided in case of medical or other emergencies. Hence, The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) kolkata considers punctuality and attendance very important.

Typically, the exam takes place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The candidates have to finish answering 110 questions in the allotted time. Since the IIFT exam has no sectional time limit, unlike the CAT or XAT, candidates are free to use the two hours however best suits their exam plan. The cut-offs are based on CAT 2023 since admission to the batch of 2024–2026 will be determined by that score.
