There are several common mistakes done by the students:
1. Not having a proper timetable:
Many of the students do not have their timetable which is the most and which is not being followed by them as they prepare timetable but didn't follow them.
2. Not revising properly
Students think that they do not need revision as they have done this before but it's totally wrong. Revision is a must to increase your speed to increase your knowledge. When you revise for your topics in the exam, you can easily solve day without taking more time.
3 Missing mock test
A lot of students do not give the mock test and they directly go for the exam. In this, they are making the biggest mistake because mock test help you for your final exam and while preparing for mock test, you are preparing for your finals. Also mock test gives you an idea about how much you can score in final.
4. Not clearing the doubts
Just once, don't feel shy to clear the doubts. If you have some doubts at that time you should ask your faculty and clear those doubts.
5 Not analysing their mock test
After giving the mock test, they just check the result. They do not analyse the question paper that what types of mistakes they have done where they didn't perform well. This over-analysis should be done by students while preparing
These are few common mistakes done by the students while preparing for IIFT if they avoid these mistakes then they easily crack all the exams for MBA for MBA entrance like IIFT, SNAP, CET, CAT, MAT, GMAT, NMAT and XAT.

Schedule to crack IIFT in just 3 months is as follows :
Reading comprehension in 10 days.
Read the columns, editorials and articles from the newspapers and find out how many words are there which you do not know. Note down these words, know their meaning, frame good sentences upon them and start using them in your conversation to practice more on them.
Verbal Ability in 5 days
Practice and revise your stuff well.
Identify the type of questions that appeared in last year exams and practice them well.
Questions based on grammar come as a saviour when you are not lucky with the passage.
Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation in 10 days
Speed is the most important factor to solve this question. For this, you will have to work on your speed to attempt the maximum number of questions.
Vedic maths is very helpful to solve this section in time.
Quantitative Analysis in 10 days
GK in 10 days
Revision in 10 days
Solve at least one mock test paper every day. Try to reduce the involved time every day.
Identify your weak areas and work upon your mistakes.

Preparation can be of three types: self, self plus coaching, coaching. It depends on whether you are a working professional or a student. So, if you are working you have to prepare either by self-using the correspondence booklets or you can take the option of taking weekend coaching classes. Also, you can buy some famous books used for the preparation of MBA entrance exams. But if you are a student then you have a good amount of time to prepare. So you can use the correspondence course and books initially for self-preparation and later can join coaching classes for brushing up your preparation with added techniques. So, any MBA entrance exam has generally three sections- quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning & data interpretation and verbal reasoning along with the study of general current affairs. So, depending on your strengths, weakness and speed, prepare the three sections accordingly and nail the exam.
So prepare as per your flexibility and crack the exam.

There is nothing such thing called tougher to crack or easy to crack. This view depends upon the preparation of the exam you are giving. There are a number of exams conducted in India for the MBA type courses. Exams like CAT, XAT, GMAT, MAT, IBSAT, NMAT, SNAP, etc. have some minor tweaking and variations apart from the main sections. Each of these exams has a quantitative aptitude, verbal reasoning, logical reasoning and data interpretation, apart from GK or essay writing section in some of the exams. So, you have to prepare accordingly for these exams either by taking coaching classes or correspondence course or by self-preparation or by following recommended books. After you have prepared for the most difficult level questions, you may try to get some question banks for the specific exam you are targeting either offline mode I.e. books on exams or online mode i.e. free question banks websites or paid question banks for practice.

The IIFT written test has multiple choice objective type test of two hours and the test areas over the last few years have been Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.
Here are few tips to prepare for IIFT:
1. Prepare the key concepts of Arithmetic, Algebra, and Geometry & Modern Maths in the Quantitative Ability section in a thorough manner.
2. To tackle the Verbal Ability section, one has to focus on improving one's reading speed because the paper typically features 3-4 reading comprehensions.
3. You should prepare the basics of grammar in order to solve sentence correction questions. Practice is required to solve usage-based questions like analogy, fill in the blanks, etc.
4. It is advisable to practice different data interpretation question types like pie charts, bar graphs, data tables, line charts & combinations thereof for the DI section.
5. General Awareness is an environment-sensitive area and requires familiarity with both static and current components of the environment. For static GK, one should focus on topics like history, geography, economics, political system, etc.
