IIITA offers a four-year BTech as its flagship course. The UG-level programme is available in five specialisations, including Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Information Technology (IT), and IT (Business Informatics). Additionally, ECE and IT specialisations are also offered under the flexible academic programme.

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad, which was established in 1999, is a recognised university and is, in fact, a government college. IIIT Allahabad is recognised by the Government of India as an 'Institute of National Importance' and is recognised by the AICTE. In the 2023 NIRF Engineering Rankings, the institute came in at number 89th among the top Engineering colleges in India. IIIT Allahabad BTech cutoff 2023 for Information Technology was 1335 for SC and 654 for ST category. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Main, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses. As per IIIT Allahabad JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 9270 for General category candidates in All India quota for Electronics & Communication Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 15613 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Yes, it is one of the renowned institutions for technology/engineering courses. In 2022, the university PG course placements were also concluded with a 100% placement record. The highest and average package stood at INR 60.5 LPA and INR 19.57 LPA, respectively.
