Aspirants, to be eligible, must write GATE exam. However, for final selection, the institute conducts a college-level entrance and also conducts a Personal Interview round to shortlist students. In addition to this, candidates must have also completed their master's degree in Engineering/ Technology along with a bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology with 60% aggregate.

Yes, students belonging to the SC category need not pay any tuition fee to IIIT Nagpur. But multiple other charges are payable, including hostels, mess, exam charges, and caution deposits. Along with this, you will also need to pay a mandatory one-time payment of INR 15150.

Some of the students studying at IIIT Nagpur feel that there should be a proper ground for playing football, cricket, and other sports activities. Students feel that more extracurricular activities must be added for students. Other challenges faced by first-year students is the extensive curriculum which they get used to in the subsequent years.

Yes, IIIT Nagpur is a good college for the BTech course. The accepted entrance exam is JEE Main. BTech students can become Data Engineers, Software Engineers, or can join non-technical jobs. They can even work in fields such as Marketing, and others. IIIT Nagpur Engineering departments are engaged in several critical research domains such as Computer Vision, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Retrieval.

IIIT Nagpur BTech admissions are not possible without the JEE Main scores. Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur course admissions are entirely entrance-examination based. Candidates seeking admission to the flagship BTech programmes are required to appear for the JEE-Main examination based on which they can further apply for the JoSAA/CSAB counselling.

IIIT Nagpur offers BTech, PhD, and other courses to students in a full-time mode. The programmes are offered in the streams of Engineering, IT, and Software. The duration of the BTech course is four-year. The candidates are selected through national-level examinations such as JEE Main/ GATE conducted by different authorities followed by an interview round.

Yes, survival is quite easy for the IIIT Nagpur freshers as the college is quite welcoming. The college hostels are very good. Students are advised to attend the orientation event to get introduced to the college rules and regulations. In general, the atmosphere of IIIT Nagpur is quite good. There the freshers will get the chance to meet with the future leaders i.e., their seniors.
