IIIT Dhanwad has high ranking as compared to IIT Una as IIT Dhanwad is ranked 93 while IIT una is ranked 114 according to NIRF ranking. The placement records and the placement rate of IIT Una is more as compared to that of IIT Dharwad. There are a large number of companies that visit IIT Una as compared to IIT Dhanwad colleges. The highest Package offered by IIT UNA is about INR 15 LPA and the average Package offered by IIT Dharwad is nearly INR 12 LPA. Both the colleges are good in infrastructure and faculties.

At the undergraduate level, IIIT UNA offers BTech courses to students. The total tuition fee for all BTech courses is INR 7.6 LPA. This is only the tuition fee. Students may also have to pay for the Hostel Fee of INR 2.99 lakh. Additionally, a one-time Security Deposit of INR 5,000 must also be paid.
