As per the cutoff list released by IIIT Una for admission to its flagship BTech programme the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) in the year 2022, 2023 & 2024 was 28234, 30234 & 30916 respectively. Below is the closing rank for other BTech courses:

There is no such provision for direct admission at IIIT Una. IIIT Una being a Centrally Funded Technical Institute just like all other IIIT’s across India follow the guidelines established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. IIIT Una courses are entirely entrance exam based. For admission to the IIIT Una flagship BTech programme, candidates must have valid ranks in JEE-Main based on which they can apply for the counselling process through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). Some of the scholarships provided by the college are Top Class Scholarships to SC Students. IIIT Una is a public private college which was established in 2014. The college was set up by the collaboration of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, HP Power Corporation Limited, the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, and HP Transmission Corporation Limited. Being the public private college, the fee for various courses is not very high. If students find the fee a little high, they can apply for scholarships provided by the college. Some of the scholarships provided by the college are Top Class Scholarships that are offered to SC Students and others.

The highest package offered during IIIT Bhagalpur and IIIT Una placements 2025 was 83 LPA and 30 LPA. Average package received at IIIT BGP and IIIT Una in 2025 was 10.35 LPA and 11.02 LPA. Seeing the placement data, highest package offered at IIIT BGP was more than IIIT Una. However, IIIT Una average package recorded was better in 2025.
Both the IIITs are leading Engineering Institutes of India and offer good placements.
