IIT Vadodara is a public- private institute. The college offers various undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, and certificate courses. The admission is given based on an entrance exam. The entrance exam accepted by the college are JEE Mains, GATE. The University also offers scholarships to their students which are need and merit based. The placement record of the college is around 92%. The highest placement rate is nearly INR 23 LPA and the average placement is nearly INR 19.2 LPA, and the median package offered by the college is INR 9 LPA. No, IIIT Vadodara does not accept direct admissions to any of its offered courses. The admissions to IIIT Vadodara are compltely based on candidate's score in respective entrance exams. Students can refer the following list to know about the course-wise admission criteria for the institute:
- For BTech Admissions: JEE Main + JEE Advanced + JoSAA Counselling
- For MTech Admissions: GATE + COAP Counselling
- For PhD Admissions: CSIR/ UGC-NET/ PhD Entrance Exam + Interview
