IIM Ahmedabad - Indian Institute of Management Admission Process

IIM Ahmedabad admission to its flagship MBA programme is via CAT. Aspirants need to fill out the CAT form. For all other courses, candidates have to apply on the institute's website. Students must get an exceptional score in CAT. As IIM-A is the top management institute of the country, the cutoffs are equally high. The institute considers GMAT, GRE or CAT scores for admission in other courses. The institute also conducts IIMA Admission Test for MBA-BPGP in BA & AI and MBA-BPGP courses. Selected candidates are called for a PI round.

Entrance exam is followed by other selection rounds including GD-PI & AWT for PGP. Selected students have to pay the admission fees and report at the institute to complete the process.

To apply for MBA courses at IIM Ahmedabad, candidates are required to follow certain eligibility requirements. Firstly, applicants must ensure that they have completed a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (in the case of the candidate belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category, this is relaxed to 45%). 

• Secondly, candidates are shortlisted for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2025 score. 
• Note: Foreign nationals (foreign passport holders) staying in India must have taken the test-center-administered GMAT Focus Edition or GMAT Exam in the previous format and should apply through the Supernumerary Quota category.

Candidates (General category) seeking admission to IIM-A for MBA must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
