Yes, they do. Do understand that IIM A students usually have stellar academics. A good academics (relatively) become average academics with this peer group. So, a poor academics will become even poorer (relatively) which might be a huge downer for such firm's shortlisting.

IIM A admits through CAT exam only for Indians. Cut-off score is the minimum requirement to be considered for further scrutiny and does not guarantee a call or admit.

I would suggest you to pursue a course from an AICTE certified institute. Your degree might not be recognized universally in case you choose to pursue any course from an institute which is not AICTE approved.

No problem. You can always re-appear next year. But I would suggest to gain some relevant experience while dropping for CAT.

There are no set correct answers to these questions. Please understand that the interviewers are veterans in interviewing and a not-so-genuine answer can be easily identified by them. Hence, the key lies in introspecting about your life and coming up with your life story that inspired you to do MBA. That would get you the answer to why MBA. Coming to short term goal and long term goal, short term goal can be to successfully graduating from top IIMs and long term can be to gain expertise in your favorite specialization (do your homework beforehand). Manageable, provided one learns to prioritize and not procrastinate. This is necessary,as a MBA degree acclimatizes you for the corporate life and work load associated with it.

Please apply for IIM-A FABM program through CAT. After qualifying of CAT and meeting the necessary academic cut-offs, you will be called for interview process, clearing which you will be offered admission to IIM-A PGP FABM program.
