IIMC's original mandate was to be a "Centre for Advanced Study in Mass Communication". It is responsible for consultation, training, and research and development, particularly in the use of mass communication in support of national economic and social development.

Studying at IIMC Aizawl is reasonably priced when compared to many other universities. For the Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism (English), the total cost of tuition is about ?87,000.
During the application process, students must also pay a registration fee of INR 1,200.
At an expense of Rs 25 crore, the permanent campus in Aizawl was completed.
This suggests that the organisation has made large infrastructural investments. In general, IIMC Aizawl's tuition fees are competitive, which makes it a desirable choice for individuals wishing to work in journalism.

Well, as per my research, IIMC Jammu doesn't offer PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism. It only offers PG Diploma in English Journalism as per the official website. And, hence, it's easier to say that the institute's entire focus is on teaching just one programme. i.e. PG Diploma in English Journalism. And, all the recruiters for IIMC Jammu placements come to hire from the follwoing programme only.

There's no information about the placement statistics at IIMC Jammu except for its top recruiters. From what I could reserach, placements at IIMC Jammu can be considered decent, with students securing jobs in various media and communication sectors across India. Leading media houses such as NDTV, India Today, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Times of India, Aaj Tak, Zee News, Doordarshan, Public Relations agencies, and government organizations are among the major recruiters. However, for IIMC Aizawl, the placements related information is missing from the official website. And, hence, the comparison would be tough.

Hi Nishar,
As of now, Indian Institute of Mass Communication Jammu does accept CUET PG scores to offer PG Diploma in English Journalism. There's no mention of the minimum cutoff on the official website of IIMC Jammu. CUET PG 2024 cutoff is expected to be released separately by the participating universities. The cutoff refers to the minimum marks one has to secure in order to qualify for the exam.
