PG Diploma in Journalism (English) is one of the top courses offered at IIMC Aizawl. There are two postgraduate Diploma programmes offered by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Aizawl (IIMC). Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism (English) is a one year course. There are 17 seats available for the course, and the fee is around INR 87K. Applicants for this course must be graduates or be enrolled in a recognised institution of higher learning and be appearing for their bachelor's degree year or semester examination. Another one-year, full-time Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Media programme has a tuition fee of INR 2 lakh. There are 20 seats available in total for this course.

Currently, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Aizawl (IIMC) provides two postgraduate Diploma programmes. The one-year, full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism (English) programme is offered. There are 17 available seats overall, and the course costs approximately INR 87 K. Applicants for this course must be graduates of an accredited institution or university, or be appearing for their year-end or semester-long bachelor's degree exam. The Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Media is a 1 year, full time course and the tution fee ranges to INR 2 Lakh. The total seat intake of this course is 20. Candidate must have passed the Graduation Degree from a recognised University to be eligible.

On August 8, 2011, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication Aizawl, or IIMC Aizawl, was officially opened as the East Regional Centre of IIMC. Numerous international, national, and regional news agencies, including Reuters, WION, PTI, The Times of India, The Indian Express, Mathrubhumi, and Malayala Manorama, employ IIMC Aizawl students. IIMC Aizawl currently only has two course options. At present, IIMC Aizawl operates out at Aizawl University's temporary campus. The institute will soon be home to an impressive 8-acre campus with media labs, a large library with a rich collection of books, and all the other amenities needed. Separate off-campus hostel is provided by IIMC Aizawl for boys and girls.

The above mentioned fee schedule may or may not include additional fees, and it is subject to vary based on the academic year. A candidate's admittance to the course is determined by the results of the entrance exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the IIMC entrance exam, which is required for admission to PG Diploma programmes.

The IIMC entrance test is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in order to grant admission to PG Diploma programmes. IIMC provides free or reduced tuition to students who are financially weak.

The Indian Express Group founded it in 1994 under the name Asian College of Journalism, Bangalore. Sashi Kumar assumed control of it in 2000, and the campus was moved to Taramani, Chennai. In addition to providing a post-graduate diploma, the college specialises in print, radio, television, and new media. 

IIMC Dhenkanal and IIMC Kottayam both are reputable institutions for mass communication education. It is difficult to compare these institute as both are good in their own domain. However, here are few differences between the two:

1. PLACEMENTS: IIMC Dhenkanal is known for its strong placement records, with almost 70 to 80 percent students being placed every year from the institute. 
2. CAMPUS: IIMC Kottayam has a permanent campus which is working on initiating new short term courses for mass communication. Whereas, IIMC Dhenkanal nestles in the rural and tribal hinterland in central Odisha.
3. COURSES: IIMC Dhenkanal offers English and Odia post graduate courses whereas IIMC Kottayam offers a Masters programme in community media.

Both of these institutes have their own strength. You should consider your own area of interest in studies, personal preferences, job market and the distance between these institue and your hometown while choosing between two.

It was founded to provide state information officials, public relations specialists, and media journalists with training. Numerous international, national, and regional news agencies, including Reuters, WION, PTI, The Times of India, The Indian Express, Mathrubhumi, and Malayala Manorama, employ IIMC Aizawl students. IIMC Aizawl currently only provides the Online PG Diploma in English Journalism as one of its two course offerings. The temporary campus is currently housed inside the Aizawl University campus.
