In order to be eligible for applying CAT, you need to have a minimum of 50% in your class 10th and class 12th and 45% for reserved categories. So, in that case you will be ineligible to apply even. Also, the CAT scores will not be where you will reach.

Having work experience and being a fresher have their own advantages and disadvantages, so it doesn't make much difference. Yes, the work experience people might come up with a solution to a problem, they have actually faced in their work life by the same can be done by a fresher, if they are avid readers. Yes, you can get into an IIM if you don't have work experience a good every year are fresher's and if the interviewer finds you fit, you'll have a very good chance. To get a good MBA, colleges try for a 60+ score. But, there are colleges who take in candidates who scored around 50. so try aiming for more to get better colleges.

Your grades in school or college don't decide whether you will crack CAT for IIMS or not. You must start preparing for CAT the most popular exam for MBA if you want to get in any IIM. The ideal time to prepare is your 2nd year of Graduation. Make your basics strong, take coaching for CAT and forget your grades used to be low. Anyone can give CAT from any field or degree. After you crack CAT with good scores, you have to give Interview which will decide your branch of IIM. All the best.

You must complete your graduation and prepare for CAT entrance exam and score well in CAT exam your score must be more than 95 percentile after that you will get call from IIMs for there GD/PI rounds. If you clear this round, you can get admission in IIMs.

7 years agoAm I eligible for IIMs? My profile: 10th-70%, 12th-43% and graduation-70%. I belong to OBC category.

Sorry to say, with 43% in 12th, it won't be possible for you to get shortlisted for the most of the premier MBA institutes even if you do very good in CAT.
