Hello Dadu Dayal, It's very nice to hear from you that you have already started thinking of doing your MBA from IIM Kolkata. To have such precise and clear-cut aim is indeed a great trait of a student. Once you have decided on your aim, you can definitely work towards achieving it. You have got reasonably good marks in 10th, 12th and engineering so what is left now is to crack CAT with good marks. Hence I would advise you to study well, take tuition, online coaching and then only appear for this common admission test for IIMs. I am sure once you do this you will get admission in your dream institute.
Best wishes to you.

Well that will depend upon your CAT percentile. You should have atleast 95% in CAT if you are thinking for IIMs. Secondly, your graduation score is still less but on the other hand it's diverse (Physics Hons.), which is plus point. So, give it a try and all the best!

The minimum percentile is dependent on the category one belongs to. The first shortlisting is done roughly on the basis of category for all the students. The academic diversity helps one while calculating the composite score at the end of second round. The composite score is calculated for everyone with extra points for non engineering students. For IIM Lucknow, 5 point weight is given for non engineers this year and for Amritsar, Kashipur and Sirmaur, it is somewhat similar. So if you are a non engineer and you clear the cutoff, you will get a good edge over that engineer with similar profile. But there is not much difference in the c
