Students have to meet the IIM Kashipur course eligibility to get admission in any of the programmes. The selection is entrance-based mainly. The basic eligibility is as below:
- IIM Kashipur PG eligibility - UG degree with a minimum aggregate of 45%-50%
- IIM Kashipur PhD eligibility - PG degree with a minimum aggregate of 60%

No, it is not easy to get admission in IIM Kashipur, especially for the flagship MBA programme. It is one of 21 IIIMs of the country and is ranked at #23 for its MBA programme by NIRF 2025. The cutoff is also high and seats are limited making the admission chances very hard. But, students who prepare well can crack the cutoff and get a seat.

To get admission in IIM Kashipur, students have to check the eligibility first. Eligible students can apply online for the accepted test first. The institute offers entrance-based admissions only. Students have to go through the selection rounds, such as JAP and personal interview depending on the programme.
Selected students have to report for verification of documents and pay the admission fees to complete the process.

There is no option for students to take direct admission in the MBA programme conducted by the IIM Kashipur. Students looking forward to get a chance ton study in the IIM Kahipur have to meet the eligibility criteria and achieve an acceptable percentile in the CAT examination. A bachelor's degree duly recognised by UGC/AIU with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for general students. Candidates must also have a minimum of three years of managerial, entrepreneurial, or professional experience after graduation.

The eiligibility criteria defines by the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur defines that the student must have a bachelor's degree which is duly recognised by UGC/AIU with minimum aggregate of 50% for General, 47% for NC-OBC, and 45% for SC/ST/DAP. In addition to that, candidates must also have a minimum of three years of managerial, entrepreneurial, or professional experience after graduation.
