The institute provides a variety of financial support to PGP and PhD students. All PGP students with annual household income below Rs 6 lakh are eligible to apply for financial aid. Other students with severe financial difficulties arising from sudden unforeseen circumstances are also considered. Below mentioned are the scholarships offered by the institute to its PGP candidates:
- Ministry of Tribal Affairs Scholarship (ST): It invites applications for the National Scholarship for Higher Education for Scheduled Tribe students of PGP first year. This is a means scholarship that covers tuition expenses in full.
- Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Scholarship (SC): It invites applications for the National Scholarship for Higher Education for Scheduled Caste students from Meritorious SC students PGP first year. This is a means scholarship that covers tuition expenses in full.
- Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Persons with Disabilities (PwD): A person with a disability having not less than 40 per cent disability and having a disability certificate issued by any competent medical authority. This is a means scholarship of Rs 2.55 lakh per year.

IIM Visakhapatnam Highlights 2023
Established in 2015 under the Human Resource Development Ministry and Government of India, the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam is the newly built IIM and is currently being mentored by IIM, Bangalore. Situated in the largest city of Andhra Pradesh, the teaching methodology and infrastructure of IIM Visakhapatnam are similar to the Howard Business School model as it teaches various case studies like Howard.
The new campus of IIM Vishakhapatnam is spread over 241 acres of land and is situated near Gambheeram Village, Anandapuram Mandal, Visakhapatnam. The first phase of the new facility is expected to be completed by 2021. IIM Visakhapatnam has 23 full-time and 12 visiting faculty members. All the faculty members hold a PhD degree from top-notch institutions in India and abroad such as IIMs, and IITs. IIM Visakhapatnam offers four management courses at PG and PhD levels. The institute also offers (first-ever in the country) a specialised MBA programme in Digital Governance & Management in blended learning mode under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Government of India.
