Sure, a candidate can get admission to IIM Ranchi without CAT as long as he or she doesn't want to pursue MBA. IIM Ranchi course admissions are entrance-based. For admission to the MBA course the college accepts only CAT score, but for other courses the institute accepts GMAT/ GRE/ IPMAT etc.
Only for admission to the Executive MBA course, the aspirants are required to appear just for the personal interview round.

Candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) to gain admission to the flagship programme, MBA in General Management, at IIM Ranchi. The CAT also serves as the entrance exam for the MBA-HR and MBA in Business Analytics programmes offered by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi. To proceed with the admission process, candidates must meet the sectional cutoff and overall cutoff. The highest domestic package offered during IIM Rohtak placements 2024 was INR 48.25 LPA whereas the highest package offered during IIM Raipur placements 2023 was INR 43.4 LPA. Moreover, when we compare with the NIRF ranking 2023 in Management category, IIM Rohtak has been ranked 12 and IIM Raipur has been ranked 11. Both the colleges have good facilities and infrastructure.
