CAT Institute of Management Ranchi accepts CAT scores, followed by the Personal Interview round for admission to the MBA course. As per the IIM CAP criteria, the expected qualifying CAT cut off for the batch of 2023-25 is 93 percentile for the General category students. Candidates can refer to the table given below to check out the category-wise estimated CAT 2023 qualifying cutoff for IIM Ranchi:

For admission to IIM Ranchi for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022). However, if the trend is not followed, the same will most probably be out by the first week of January 2024. After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for IIM Ranchi admission.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Ranchi, the CAT test was conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Ranchi are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:
Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

The international students can find all the information regarding the application process and fact sheets for foreign residents on the Exchange Programme Brochure and Application Form. The overseas admission process at IIM Ranchi will be conducted in three stages. First, the candidate's performance in the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT), Academic Performance (AP), Work Experience (WE), and Diversity (DI), followed by Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) and performance in the Personal Interview (PI).

The Mess Food is quite bad in taste.the mess facilities at IIM Ranchi serve vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, and the menu is designed to cater to the needs of students from different parts of the country. The canteen of the varsity provides nutritious food to students and faculty members. However, it is important to note that the quality of mess food can vary depending on individual preferences and experiences.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ranchi did not provide a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme as of my most recent update in September 2021. Postgraduate programmes like Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), and Executive Programmes are largely offered by IIMs in India.
The PGP, a two-year full-time residential management programme equating to an MBA, is the IIMs' flagship programme and is known for its excellence in management education. The PGP is intended for graduates and often has a bachelor's degree requirement for eligibility.
