Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria of full-time PhD course must participate in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs. Alternatively, those who have cleared GATE, GRE, GMAT, or NET-JRF (UGC/CSIR) exams can also apply in their relevant specialisation area. Scores from any of these exams, including CAT, taken within the last two years, will be considered valid for Ph.D. admission.

Candidates who have completed a one/two-year full-time classroom-based Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) or specialized management area (e.g., PGD in HRM, Agri-Business Management, etc.) from any of the IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale or its equivalent in the four years preceding Jun 30, 2023, are exempted from this requirement. They can apply directly using the prescribed Application Form.

Candidates shortlisted based on their academic records and performance in the aforementioned competitive examinations will be invited for a seminar and personal interview for final selection in April/May 2023. Successful candidates will receive admission offers by the end of May 2023.
