IIM Ranchi will also accept IPMAT Indore scores. IPMAT Indore scores are also accepted by IIM Shillong, IIM Amritsar, IIM Sirmaur, etc. 

In the second year of IIM Ranchi MBA course, candidates can choose preferred electives. Each of it is worth 3 credits. The elective options available for the two-year PG course are:

IIM Ranchi MBA-BA course curriculum is divided into six terms. Some credit is attached to each subject. Candidates can also opt for preferred electives in the two-year programme. The topics covered in the first term are mentioned below:

• Managerial Computing
• Financial and Management Accounting
• Marketing Management
• Organisational Behaviour
• Mathematical Foundation for Business Analytics
• 3-Day Immersion in Analytics Practices

The institute provides merit cum means scholarship worth INR 1 crore every year to MBA candidates. It is given to 25 meritorious candidates. There is additional preference given to candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ and differently abled candidates. The scholarship scheme is provided to support and encourage candidates. 

Candidates wanting to get into MBA in any of the IIMs have to take the CAT exam and clear it. IIM Ranchi CAT cutoff is released and selection for WAT and PI is done. The institute then releases the final cutoff for the course admission. After seat allotment, the required fee amount can be paid for confirmation. 

IIM Ranchi has a total of 185 seats for its two-year MBA programme. Candidates are admitted as per this sanctioned intake. The seat allotment is based on CAT score and performance in WAT and Personal Interview round. This mentioned seat count is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative. 

Candidates have to wait for IIM Ranchi MBA CAT cutoff. Those who clear it become eligible for further scanning process. The candidates may have to visit the website and provide CATID (application sequence number), date of birth, and registered email as per CAT application. The waiting status appears on the portal after logging in. Candidates who clear cutoff can contact the admission office for information as well. 

IIM Ranchi MBA aspirants need to have a valid CAT score. The entrance test is expected to be held on Nov 29, 2026. Candidates taking the exam will be able to download admit cards online. It is generally released online in the first or second week of November. Candidates should stay updated with admission schedule to avoid missing out an event.

IIM Ranchi MBA admission start with the release of CAT notification. Candidates wanting to get into the PG course need to apply for the national level examination. CAT registrations generally begin in August and are concluded by September. The entrance test is conducted in the last week of November. 

IIM Ranchi offer admission to its MBA courses based on CAT scores only. The candidates have to take this test and secure a valid percentile. IIMs release its cutoff based on which candidates are called for further selection rounds. There may not be any other provision for admission to the PG level course.
