IMI Udaipur's MBA programme is ranked both by the national and international body. In national level IMI Udaipur was recently ranked 16th in 2023 by the NIRF rsnkings based on the parameter of the ranking guidelineds. Whereas, in international level FT Masters in Management 2022 Global Ranking ranked IMI Udaipur's MBA programme in 81st. The FT MIM ranking 2022 lists the top global colleges in management education, wherein in the top 100, only four IIMs were featured - IIM Bangalore (31st Rank), IIM Lucknow (64 Rank), IIM Udaipur (81 Rank), and IIM Indore (89 rank), respectively.

For IIM Udaipur PGP admission 2023, the overall qualifying cutoff for General category students is 92 percentile. The cutoff varies with different categories. For EWS the total perrcentile is 70 and for NC-OBC its 74. Further, 40 is the total percentile for ST and DAP. Comparing the total cutoff percentile of IIM Udaipur with IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore its more, which indicates getting into IIM Udaipur is easier than the two IIM's.

IIM Udaipur cutoff 2025 was released based on the CAT entrance exam for admission to the MBA/PGDM course. For the General category students under the All India quota, the percentile was 92 (both overall and sectional).

IIM-U rules decree that a student who does not score the required number of grade points at the end of the first year may have to repeat it. But every student has to complete the two-year course in a maximum of three years. Those who fail the first year a second time are forced to drop out.
The hard part is if you are repeating the first year you need to pay the entire tution fees again.
That means a straight increase of around 35–40% of the fee for the entire course . Do you think everyone can afford this. I don't think so.

Digital Product Management (DPM) and Senior Management Programme (SMP) are the two certification courses offered by IIM Udaipur. The eligibility criteria of DPM and SMP is bachelor’s/Master’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Work experience also comes under the criteria: for DPM minimum two years of experience in product management functions, or minimum five years of experience across any domain or function. Whereas, SMP requires a minimum of 10+ years of experience or, a minimum of 8+ years of experience with a Post Graduation.

IIM Udaipur does offer certification course. The courses offered are Digital Product Management (DPM) and Senior Management Programme (SMP). DPM covers a period of six months and 125 hours of online live session, with three days campus immersion experience with fifteen hours on campus module IIM Udaipur. Whereas, SMP is tweleve month duration programme, with 120 hours of online live session and seven days campus immersion experience in IIM Udaipur.
