IIM Visakhapatnam is a young IIM that is getting mentorship from IIM Bangalore. IIM Visakhapatnam has strong linkages with the industries and its faculty members and students regularly interact with industry leaders. It is actively engaged in research projects that address a wide range of management issues. There is some specific initiatives such as The Women Start-up Program, The MBA Program in Digital Governance & Management and The Weekend MBA Program are unique to IIM Visakhapatnam.

Yes, IIM Visakhapatanam does provide scholarship aid to its students who wants to avail it. The scholarship are merit based. As per the scholarship, waiver of tuition fee or scholarship (as reimbursement of tuition fee paid) up to a maximum of INR 6.0 Lacs per student for Year-2 of PGP programme will be granted to the topmost two students in academic performance (i.e., the highest and second the highest CGPA) in each of the four sections being envisaged, for the 2022-24 batch.
