IIT BBSR offers MSc + PhD programmes of five-year duration. These integrated courses are available in five specialisations, including Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences, and Geology. Admission to all these courses is through IIT JAM. Candidates who pass the course successfully are offered MSc and PhD degrees.

Admission to MSc courses is through IIT JAM. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can apply by visit JAM website. Candidates shall further take the entrance exam and secure a good scores. Based on the cutoff marks, candidates are called for CCMN counselling following which seat allotment is carried out.

IIT BBS cutoff 2025 is yet to be released for admission to the BTech courses across mulitple specialisations. However, going as per the last year cutoff data, candidates can expect the IIT Bhubaneswar Round 1 Seat Allotment for various BTech courses to range between the ranks mentioned below:  

  • B.Tech. in Electrical and Communication Engineering must range between 4798 and 5157
  • B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering must range between 3404 and 3685
  • B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering must range between 6505 and 7661

IIT Bhubaneshwar BTech cutoff 2024 has been released across multiple specialisations. Based on the Round 1 seat allotment, the BTech cutoff scores ranged between 3404 and, 13429 for the General AII India category students. Among all the BTech specialisations, BTech in CSE is the most competitive specialisation. So, considering the round 1 cutoff, candidates seeking admission to Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneshwar must secure a maximum rank upto 13429.

The cut off was 14970 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech + M.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 21645 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

The cutoff ranks for BTech in Mechanical Engineering + M.Tech in Manufacturing Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar for students other than General category are - 4374 for OBC, 2306 for SC, 1025 for ST, 1756 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female
