Yes, IITB witnessed a growth of nearly 8% in the median package offered over the past two years. the overall median package grabbed by IIT Bombay students during placements 2024 and 2023 stood at INR 17.92 LPA and INR 16.66 LPA, respectively.

To get admission in PhD course at IIT Bombay, candidates first need to fill out the application form. Aspirants who have completed a Bachelor or Masters or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Technology or master's or equivalent degree in Science or Arts/ Commerce with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) are eligible to apply for PhD course. The application fee for PhD is:

Yes, IIT Bombay offers admission to MBA course on the basis of candidates' performance in the CAT entrance exam, followed by WAT and PI round.The institute releases two types of CAT cutoffs, namely the qualifying CAT cutoff and the final CAT cutoff. Securing a minimum qualifying cutoff just means that the candidate is eligible for the next step in the admission procedure. IIT Bombay MBA cutoff 2024 has been released, wherein the CAT cutoff percentile is 90 for the General AI category students for admission.

No, MBA is not free of cost at IIT Bombay. However, SC, ST and PwD category students are exempted from the payment of tuition fee. Beside, such students need to pay other fee components such as caution deposit, admission fee, library deposit, etc.

Hostel and mess security deposit is a one-time fee during the entire duration of the student's stay in the hostel. Yes, the amount is refunded on vacating the hostel provided the concerned student is not charged with any fine for hostel/ mess damage. In case a student withdraws admission after paying the hostel fee, he or she is refunded fee after deduction of processing fee of INR 1,000.
