Candidates must adhere to the admissions procedure and the institution's norms in order to be admitted to IIT Dharwad. Admission to all of IIT Dharwad's courses is exclusively determined by entrance. Undergraduate programs in BTech and BS-MS (integrated course) are available at IIT Dharwad. The institute offers MSc and M.Tech programs at the postgraduate level. In addition, IIT Dharwad has a doctorate-level curriculum.

However, as per the media reports, the the highest and average package offered during IIT Dharwad placements 2024 stood at INR 52 LPA and INR 12.63 LPA, respectively. Further, according to the IIT Dharwad NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during BTech placements 2023 stood at INR 14.85 LPA. IIT Dharwad total BTech seat intake is 250. The seats are distributed across the specialisations unevenly. Seat are allocated as per the JoSAA counselling. Candidates must qualify the JEE Main or JEE Advanced to score seats at IIT Dharwad. Find below BTech seat bifuracation:

The qualifications for IIT Dharwad's varies as per the course candidates wish to apply for. However, Class 12 pass is the only qualificatipon applicable for all the UG, PG, and PhD cousres. Tabulated below are the qualifications required for IIT Dharwad's programme for admission 2024:
