You have to check the required percentage for IIT for up board .If you percentage are above the required percentage you will be eligible but if not there only one way that you again have to give 12th exam.

NIT's & IIT's held counselling after entrance exam.
If you are eligible for counselling then you will we called by these Institutes.
After this they give you college.

u should score 150+ marks in JEE main to get good NITs
and u should positioned under 10,000 rank in JEE advance to get admission in IITs.

friend., 63% is not sufficient for IIT because he see 75% minimum. Bt u can a work, Start preparing JEE and give best score in JEE main aprox 160 above marks. OK then u can get top NITs of IIT level. just go. don't waste time.
