If they meet the requirements, a B.Tech. in Mechatronics student may take the IIT JAM in Physics for admission to the IIT for M.Sc. in Physics. Hi Gouri, A candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with Geology as a major topic to be eligible for the IIT JAM Geology test. In addition to the Geology degree, the candidate must have a minimum of two auxiliary subjects from any of the following disciplines: Physics Chemistry Mathematics, or Biological Science. You may be ineligible to take the IIT JAM Geology test if you do not have Physics Chemistry or Mathematics as a supplementary study. I recommend that you read the official IIT JAM website or contact the organizing institute for further information on the Geology test qualifying requirements. Thanks!

Yes, you are eligible. Bachelor's degree in Science (Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Mathematics) from a recognised university is required for this examination. Both Indian, as well as Foreign candidates, are eligible. There is no age limit. If you are appearing for your final year exam or your result is awaited, then you are also eligible.
