Yes, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur offers a BArch programme of five-year duration to students who have qualified JEE Main (paper-II) followed by JEE Advanced. Aspirants qualifying the JEE Advanced exam need to qualify Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) conducted by IIT Kharagpur for admission to the BArch programme followed by JoSAA counselling. In order to apply for BArch at IIT Kharagpur, students are required to apply via JEE Main. The process of applying for JEE Mains 2023 consists of three steps, i.e., registration, form filling & document upload followed by payment of application fees. The admission of a candidate to the PhD programme of IIT Kharagpur is conducted by the Departmental Academic Committee (Post-Graduate and Research), abbreviated as DAC (PG&R), of the Department/Centre concerned, on the basis of

• Overall Academic Performance
• Written Test (Through offline mode)
• Personal Interview (PI) (Through offline mode)

The academic units shortlist the students for final interview based only on the overall academic performance or based on both overall academic performance and written test/ PI. However, final selection will be based on overall academic performance and performance in written test and final interview only.

However, to be eligible to get into this course, candidates must possess a valid GATE score that is above the cut-off level of students admitted for M.Tech or MCP admission or NET qualification with Assistant Professorship. 

After the application process is over; students have to go through various selection rounds for final admission. The institute considers the merit of the candidates for MBA, LLM and PhD admission. For BTech, MSc, BSc and M.Tech courses, JEE Advanced, IIT JAM and GATE scores are considered for the selection of candidates. Additionally, admission to PhD and MS by Research is based on UGC NET/ CSIR NET and other national-level exam scores. After the selection rounds, JoSAA, COAP and CCMN Counselling are conducted for seat allotment to BTech, M.Tech and MSc courses. A merit list is released by the institute for announcing the names of the candidates shortlisted for certificate, PhD and MS by Research courses followed by a counselling round. Candidates need to pay the admission fee to confirm their admission.
