If the seat allotment is done in JoSAA counselling for BTech in IIT Mandi, then the fee is not refunded whether the candidate joins the course or not. It is refundable in cases where student joins the course after paying remaining fee and leaves on or before registration date and applies for a fee refund.

Students who get the hostel facility have to pay for the hostel charges, which include various one-time and semester-wise payable components such as Mess Fee, Medical Fee, Hostel Amenities Fund, etc. Find below the IIT Mandi hostel fee for various courses:

The application fee for MS by Research/ PhD is INR 200 and INR 100 for General/ EWS/ OBC/ OBC (NCL)/ Transgender/ Foreign Nationals and Women/ SC/ ST/ PD, respectively. JEE application fee for boys is INR 1,000, INR 800 for girls, and INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender category students. Candidates applying for MTech, need to pay GATE application fee for boys, which is INR 1,700, INR 850 for girls, and INR 850 for SC/ST/PwD category students. Only after the payment of application fees, the form is successfully submitted.

IIT Mandi MTech tuition fee costs around INR 20,000 - INR 64,000. The fee excludes other components including application fee, examination fee, security deposit, etc. The fee is taken from the website. It is however, subject to change. Candidates must check the official website before applying.
