No, admission to the IIT Delhi courses is entrance-based, except for PG Diploma course. There is no provision for direct admission. However, for IIT Delhi MTech admission, the institute offers direct admission to candidates with an overall CGPA of 8.00 out of 10. Having a KCET rank under 10k is a promising achievement, and it opens up various options for pursuing engineering in reputed colleges. If you are considering dropping a year for IIT JEE, assess your confidence in your preparation and your dedication to improving your rank significantly. Dropping a year can be a strategic move if you are confident in your ability to secure a high rank in IIT JEE. However, carefully weigh the benefits of an early start in a good college against the potential risks and challenges of taking a gap year. It's important to make an informed decision based on your goals, preparation level, and aspirations.

The cut off rank in Round 6 for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering is 16487 which is very close to this range. This was for the general category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut-offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increase your chances of getting admission to IIT Palakkad - Indian Institute of Technology.
